Check out the Nolan half helmet. I got mine through Motorcyclesuperstore, about $179. Although that doen't sound "cheap", it is when you consider it has superior impact resistance, build quality w/5 year warranty, and a lot of high end features. It is very light, a lot lighter than the Seer police helmet I wear every day. You can get half helmets cheaper in dollar cost, but chances are you'll be getting a chep, Chinese soup bucket. I am a professional motor officer and an accident investigator, did some research on this. The Nolan is super comfortable, very light and state of the art in safety. You'll love it.

Was looking at the one, on sizing, did you find they run true to size? As the one I got from the local HD Dealer, was a L, where I mostly use a XL in the past.
I ordered based off of there sizing chart, took my own measurements and everything. I was planning a road trip and want to make sure I got it right the first time. I like their little net do-rag thing they thrown in with the helmet too. Actually, I need to order another one from them.
