This was a Lenovo laptop.

 

I've mentioned it on the other forum - OSX creates hidden file ".DS_Store" in every folder. This file is not visible normally in the Finder program but can be seen and removed in the terminal; I wonder if removing that file will fix the issue.

 

anybody have the link to a thread with how to update for dummies? Have not had to do an update bike since new and will F it up if I don't carefully follow instructions.

Well, I am not having any luck. I did the update to 2237D with no problems. I am using the same thumb drive formatted exFAT. I get an error message "Software Version is incompatible Unknown". I've downloaded the zip file, formatted the thumb drive (tried several) and followed the process numerous times with no luck. On the PC the drive only has the 5 needed folders / files. After attempting the process, I bring the drive back to the PC and multiple others are there???

 

When I plugged my USB drives in to extract the most recent updates, I noticed all those files on there too. The last time I used them was for the previous update.

 

I knew that when the update is being done, the bike added new files and folders to the usb... maybe?

Now, regarding to your error message, here´s what i found on the installation guide.



But this can only happen if your current software version is NOT up to date (Skyline OS and/or amplifier) ...

 

i noticed all those files too after using it. i got stuck on the CAL_ folder failing. so i deleted it and it did all the other ones minus the AMP one which it too did not like. so ill try them again tonight after work.
