Much appreciated. Music volume in the garage was noticeably louder.
This had to be inside the IFCU all along, wonder why they just now unlocked it after a year of complaints.

I mentioned this months ago, but I was never happy with the duration of the turn signals. I signal pretty early, especially when I’m leading other bikes. The signals always cancelled too early for me, way before my turn. I have developed the habit of keeping the toggle pressed as long as practical to keep the signals flashing.
i noticed that the duration seems longer now and I have what appears to be a short and longer flash. A quick push and release gives me a short duration flash, maybe a lane change flash. A longer push gives me more blinks than I previously remember. Not always enough for me but more than before. Is anyone else noticing this?

A gripe, my iPhone will no onger automatically connect. I have to manually connect it and then manually initiate CarPlay. I think this may be more of a iPhone issue with the new apple update.
I think the turn signals cancel too early as well; however, I’ve never tried a long or quick press of the signal button. I’ll try that next time out.

Interesting to add: the manual says: "Push the button once to turn on the heated grips. Push again (up to three times) to increase the heat." This is incorrect, the heat level starts at 3 and you push to decrease the level all the way to off, at least on my bike.

Also noteworthy is the grips are thermostatically controlled and manual states "Maintaining consistent hand contact with both left and right hand grips produces the most consistent results." Means to me and I've experienced this, take your hand off and it will cool down a little.

Mine always heated up quickly pre-update and the lowest setting was plenty. Used medium once and it got too warm. I haven't completed the update yet, something about 3' of snow still on the ground.

Update: I pulled the fuse at lunchtime and put it back in when I left work. Turned the grips on high and the grips started to feel slightly warm after 3-4 minutes. They were baking after 10 minutes. I’d say the fuse pull did something positive.

So finally got around to checking for this today as I ran around locally on errands. I made sure my iPhone was connected via BT and left my headset off. Before the update, it would nag me incessantly to turn the headset on. Now it nags repeatedly only before I start moving after startup, but that stops once I get going. It did not nag me when stopped at lights either. I'm going to call this an acceptable resolution and call this bug squashed.

The turn signals didn't seems to operate any differently, but I never got faster than about 45mph so maybe there's a minimum speed at which this triggers. Jury's still out.

The radio is much louder than before. But, the ambient noise when moving still makes it hard to hear without turning it up to a point where it's just a piercing shriek for music. Headset is still going to be my goto for media consumption.

Before the update, I couldn't switch from one HD channel to another. I think this is a fix as well, or it was user error. EIther way, that problem is gone. But I still can't seek.

Cool skyline new OS update

OK I recently had my Dealership updated my 24 road glide to latest OS 4125D. I previously was 2237D. Since the update I am experincing My apple carplay not connecting at start up. Let me explain. On previous software when I would turn on the bike first and then it prompts me to connect headset. I would then turn on the Cardo pactalk bold. And then I could access Apple CarPlay. No issues. Since the upgrade. The icon for apple CarPlay on the bike is grayed. If I turn on the Cardo first everything is fine. I thought at first maybe I needed to do a complete apple CarPlay setup from scratch. So I went into the bike and deleted my phone and Cardo from the device page. Did a complete new pairing of phone and Cardo to the bike. But am still having same issue. Any ideas why this has changed since the update?

what has the dealership who performed the update said might be the problem? you didn't say you checked back with them first, so can only surmise you haven't, which would be the first place I would go to

They did the update on Friday. I will contact them on Tuesday when they are open again and see what they say about it. I am guessing by your response this is not happening on your bike? Since these bikes are fairly new. My guess is my Dealer may give me the (Deer in the Head light look). I think like must of us we are learning as we go with this new technology.

I haven't had the update yet, but it's in their shop now and I will ask them to update the SW before I come get it

Zero problems on mine but that's a limited data point since sitting in the garage. I also use the maedhawk so as soon as the bike is powered on the connection process starts. Have played with it 4 or 5 times since the update and I get the message that CarPlay is ready do I want to display every time.
