they didn’t get to full temp before then of my commute so I’m not sure.

Interesting. There was a thread here a while back talking about how long the grips take to heat up. Several people commented the same. I could usually feel some heat with bare hands after a few minutes but it took at least 10 minutes to feel the heat in my gloves.

My 24 CVO RG grips heat up quick and even on low seem to be a little too hot. But I wear MX gloves and they are on the thin side so that could be why I notice them being too hot. They're probably meant for leather gloves. I do like them though, never had heated grips before...

perceived function / operation has been they have been working as designed..never occurred to me they behave out of the ordinary compared to my pre 24 ones..your recent post about your experience is the only indication I've heard or read about something not seeming normal...a friend I ride with got a 23.5 CVO right when they came out, with the same grips, and has never mentioned anything negative

Fyi, manual says "Allow approximately 20 minutes for grips to reach final operating temperature."

My observations after about 200 miles in two rides after the update.

Speaker volume is way up for me on the stock radio. I’m not a big music listener unless I’m on a long trip but I was using CarPlay for navigation and the first prompt kind of got my attention with the volume. It is now loud and easily understood. Much appreciated. Music volume in the garage was noticeably louder.
This had to be inside the IFCU all along, wonder why they just now unlocked it after a year of complaints.

I mentioned this months ago, but I was never happy with the duration of the turn signals. I signal pretty early, especially when I’m leading other bikes. The signals always cancelled too early for me, way before my turn. I have developed the habit of keeping the toggle pressed as long as practical to keep the signals flashing.
i noticed that the duration seems longer now and I have what appears to be a short and longer flash. A quick push and release gives me a short duration flash, maybe a lane change flash. A longer push gives me more blinks than I previously remember. Not always enough for me but more than before. Is anyone else noticing this?

A gripe, my iPhone will no onger automatically connect. I have to manually connect it and then manually initiate CarPlay. I think this may be more of a iPhone issue with the new apple update.

so I entered a VIN from a CVO to look at an Owners manual and noticed that...since I always turn them on high right when I start the bike and while getting my helmet and gloves on I just never noticed them not heating up quickly I guess .. so Brandon can scratch that off his list of concerns!

My point was, they operate differently now after the OS update. Regardless of what they are supposed to do, they now take twice as long to heat up than they did on the previous update.

I may just hold off on them doing the updates while it's still in getting repaired..only thing I heard mention of here that sounded worthwhile was the perceived volume increase but if the cons outweigh the pros of the updates, for now I can hold off until maybe the next round of 'fixes'

FWIW, my heated grip time to reach full operating temp did not change after the SkylineOS update.
