I would not want an update to be pushed to me while I am traveling on the motorcycle. Hoping the OTA really means WiFi updates and one can control the when to update. Imagine an ABEND during an OTA update and disabling the modules.

 

Curious if you're referring to intermittent CarPlay drops while using a headset, or something else? Sorry meant to include post above about CarPlay nag

 

one would think they would not be that dumb. being already you cant do it while its running and has to be in acc.....lol

 

Mine has been steady as a rock when connected. The issue is the system nagging me to connect a headset, literally every minute whether I dismiss it it or not, when I'm not using CarPlay. I don't need CP when, say, I'm riding to the grocery store or commuting to work. I'm a believer in using an actual headset with CarPlay and have never been interested in those gadgets that bypass them. I was hoping that they'd change it to only pop up if I select CP from the menu without a working headset connected.

For those with iPhones that have the OEM nav installed: It requires a cellular data connection for traffic and weather. Do you still get nagged about a headset? Now that they fixed the zoom issue, I'm seriously thinking about getting that for primary navigation.

 

I've never been continuously nagged about CarPlay when not using a headset while riding. The only real issue I've had, intermittently, is CarPlay dropping when a headset is connected. I'm hoping this issue is fixed

 

Does someone have the 2237D software to post for download somewhere? I am having this same issue and don't have a copy of this version.

Looks like older software updates are not available to customers and local dealers I've talked to have all said they only have access to current versions.

 

I completed the update yesterday following the instructions. It went very smoothly with not stalls or issues. One note is the pitch and tone of the stereo is different now with less bass and depth. Almost a hollowness in the sound. I know the amp had an update in the package, but not sure if was related to the onboard DSP( Equalizer). Has anyone else noticed this on there stereo after the update was completed ?

 

Did you confirm the EQ settings are the same as before the update and it didn’t revert back to some other default?

 

Question. so have done the update, but for the life of me cant get the amp update to work. always says it's available, hit ok.... and she sits on the "white shield" for a few min before saying it failed, corrupted re down load and try again. I have used MAC, Chrome and windows on two different usb sticks and she just won't go. any tips?

 

I did check to make sure it was on the same setting which was custom before the update. I now think it was the source audio that was causing the hollow sound. I have since changed the source and tried a stock EQ setting and I stand corrected. I think the update improved the audio substantially. Not sure if it’s just wishful thinking but the sound is a lot clearer than previous to the upgrade.

Prior to the update, I played a heavy bass track with the EQ in Harley Signature setting. The result was heavy distortion at volume over 1/3 from the bottom. That same track at 3/4 from bottom is now crisper, clearer with great bass response.

This is just my experience and we all know sound can be subjective to different individuals. I am very pleased with this latest update.
