Question. so have done the update, but for the life of me cant get the amp update to work. always says it's available, hit ok.... and she sits on the "white shield" for a few min before saying it failed, corrupted re down load and try again. I have used MAC, Chrome and windows on two different usb sticks and she just won't go. any tips?
why not just pop in to your cool dealership up there for quick assist?
I ran the updates last night with no problems at all. I knew I didn't need the first update but I plugged the USB in anyways just to ease my OCD. It popped up with the standard error message indicating I already had the current software. Went straight to USB 2 and followed the prompts. It took probably 20 minutes to complete. I personally thought the audio sounded better after the update. It definitely had more volume.
I completed the update yesterday following the instructions. It went very smoothly with not stalls or issues. One note is the pitch and tone of the stereo is different now with less bass and depth. Almost a hollowness in the sound. I know the amp had an update in the package, but not sure if was related to the onboard DSP( Equalizer). Has anyone else noticed this on there stereo after the update was completed ?
Out of interest, I always explore the unzipped update files to see what info I can glean on the inner workings of the IFCU.
This update has a file relating to the EQ settings.. (CAL_BASE_00.00.CSV) It's a comma delinted file with values attached to the 'canned' settings like Rock, Country etc.. I don't know if this file gets loaded during the update, but if it is, it might account for the different sounding audio. However, It shouldn't affect things if you use the Custom setting.
I've prepared my thumb drives, but haven't installed the update yet, so I can't comment on any changes to the audio on my bike.
Anyone else notice that the Nav prompts now always default to MUTED when the Nav starts up. If you want to hear prompts you need to select Unmuted each time in settings.
Does someone have the 2237D software to post for download somewhere? I am having this same issue and don't have a copy of this version.
Looks like older software updates are not available to customers and local dealers I've talked to have all said they only have access to current versions.
Bumping this in the discussion to see if anyone has this available to share or can point me to a working URL where I can download it.
