Just noticed today that new update wiped out garage door opener programming - no big deal, couple mins and reprogrammed it again. Tried heated grips (even though didn't need it on today's ride) - set it on lowest setting and in couple mins I could feel them warm in another couple had to turn them off
Hi guys, tried yesterday to install the latest, of course according to the instructions.INSTANA 240004125D on my 24 SG.
Damn, it seems that my System is bricked
After the the third or the fourth reboot it stuck at this screen. No way to move forward or backward.
Have you tried pulling the main fuse for a few minutes and reinserting? That has helped guys in some instances.
to be honest, no because i dont know what will happen, will there be more damage? And also my dealer did not had that Situation before.
If the OS will Boot, Yeah ok but this seems it it stuck in a early Stage.
if i am back at Home i can also Upload the log file. I saw there is one on the Stick.

A failed update should not leave it in a failed state. Remove the USB stick and turn the bike on, it should be fine, just not updated. The ask the dealer to update it for you.
Its likely that you did not copy the files properly, or put them in the right place or a number of things which it will take trial and error, time, frustration, etc to figure out, if the dealer is not far away, just take it there and they can update it for you.
@Restah I merged your thread with this thread that already discusses many issues people have faced updating their skyline OS. There are plenty of reaources shared in this thread.
If you downloaded the software from Harley SIP, it should have instructions. Follow them strictly. The instructions and this thread should get you exactly what you need to complete the update.
if not, as others have suggested the dealer can update it under warranty.
My assumption is that you do not have the files on the USB as they should be, or previous update completely installed. You’ll need to look at the software version and os version and make sure they match what is in the instructions. I suggest reading through the thread.
@BrandonSmith Thanks for merging ... saw the feed after my posting
I just followed the instruction strict. ...
@Keithhu I tried, after the X time of the same failure, switch the ignition on and of (not the engine) .. did not change anything.
Attached you see the LogFile ... there some errors where i would say, it not the correct package or the update package is in any way corrupt.
Doesnt matter, its winter, we getting these days -7deg (19,4F) and will be anyway to fresh ... ill will move her to the dealer and lets see what they can do .... just had the tough that there will be any easy quick fix
I had the error message, QTL__NA_240603086D after it was trying to install the 4th update. I reformatted the drive, not the quick format but regular format, re-downloaded the updates and copied them on the drive. I pulled the fuse for 60 seconds, put it back in accessory mode, and it asked for the drive to continue with the update. It then finished all of the remaining updates. Pulling the fuse and reformatting did the trick for me.
