Default Extended warranty pricing

How much did you pay for 5 or 7 yr warranty on a CVO.

I don't have a CVO, but I was quoted $4,700 for the 7 year warranty and $700 for the 5 year tire & wheel at my dealer for my 25 FLHXU. Aside from the price, my biggest problem was the fact that I wanted to modify my bike with a catless head pipe and aftermarket tuner, the combination of which would have just destroyed my factory coverage. I ended up going with @Jim Palmer - MotorcycleAgent.com and got a 7 year warranty with a 5 year tire and wheel for $3,500 total. It specifically covers bikes with modifications and I've heard great reviews from HD service guys who have had to deal with the company. The only knock against the coverage has to do with the tire & wheel. They require you to come out of pocket for the tire and submit for reimbursement.

If you feel the need to stick with Harley's warranty then I would call multiple dealers and price shop. I live in Florida and there's supposedly a law that prevents dealers form discounting warranties because they're considered an insurance product, but for my last bike I went through a dealership in Georgia and got the 7 year warranty for about half price.

I've seen this mentioned for Ford extended warranties on a Super Duty forum. Many buy them from a dealer in Iowa but supposedly Floridians couldn't buy the discounted warranty there.

Extended warranties are a cash cow for all dealerships.

Back almost 8 years ago when we bought our first CVO Limited we were quoted $2500.00 by the selling dealership for a five year warranty. I went to another dealership and they sold the same HD supported warranty for $1500.00.

Please keep in mind that this really means you have the factory warranty for two years, and the extended is another 3 years after the factory warranty expires.

Fast forward and we purchased our 22 CVO RG used. I did some research and after talking to the guys at Jim Palmers group I went with them. For 5 years with wheel and tire it was $2200.00. We also have both motorcycles insured through him as well. These guys know motorcycles and I feel I am in good hands.

I have had ZERO issues with my bike, so I cannot tell you how well they pay, but there are many good reviews.

Im on my second Motorcycle Agent Jim Palmer ESP on this bike first 5 years I think cost 1500.00 used it three time's almost covered the cost. My HD dealer said they were easy to deal with. After that one expired I got another 3 years that one cost me about 2000.00 used it once so far. My bike just turned 70000 miles I am happy with Jim Palmer.

Default H-D CVO ESP Options

Pricing on a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle (Standard or CVO) really depends on a few variables (year, mileage, stock vs. modified, and when coverage starts), so there isn’t one flat number. That said, most 5–9 year plans are dramatically lower than the H-D ESP (Administered by CNA)

We (MotorcycleAgent.com by The MVP Insurance Agency) work with 3 top Extended Service Plan administrators that cover:
  • CVOs, Trikes, and Standard Models
  • Aftermarket / upgraded components
  • Unlimited mileage
  • $0 deductible options
If the bike is still under factory warranty:
We can set the ESP to start when the factory warranty ends (or immediately if needed — flagged VINs, peace of mind, etc.).
Example: brand-new bike → add 7 years of ESP, giving you up to 9 years total coverage, as long as enrollment is done before 500 miles.

If the bike already has mods:
We can start 5–7 years of primary coverage immediately, even with aftermarket parts.

Each quote is customized so you’re not overpaying or missing coverage where it matters.

Note: If you currently have a Discount ESP plan up for renewal, they’re no longer selling direct to riders — dealership-only now. We can still help extend coverage.

I am interested in buying an extended service plan but am skeptical about authorization and reimbursement of repairs.
