Default Fatboy and street slammer bar question

I am thinking to put street slammer bar on my 06 Fatboy, can I use stock clutch/throttle cables and brake line? The height of the two look about the same to me. I am happy with my stock bar, a little pull back will be nice, is street slammer a good choice? Thanks Alex

Tom here. You should be able to use your stock cables with that setup. The street slammers look great on a fatboy.

Yes, you should be able to use the stock cables. I used the stock cables and I have the Martin Bros drag bars. I think they are close to the street slammers. They have a 9" rise and 6" pullback. I chose the Martin Bros cause they are 1 1/2" thick, fatter than the street slammers, cause I figure a fatty should have fat bars.

Gunner, can you post more pictures of the setup. I'm also, thinking of going to adrag style bar. Are there choices in riser height and pullback?

Have you noticed any effect on steering with the bar?

Carlini has some nice products also.

Thanks

IMO, drag bar/T bars only looks good with a low rise and the 1 1/2" diameter on the Fat Boy

The street slammer is 7 inch + pullback I believe, riser is a bit shorter than Martin Bros.
gunner065, could you please post a few pictures?

If/when you decide to do it please show photos afterwards. I'd like to see that particular setup.
I've been leaning toward going with drags but would like to see some other bars.

The bars are medium rise, but they have a low rise (7") and a high rise, not sure of the height of those. I like these over the stock bars and I find that you can do a tight turn at slow speeds with out putting your feet down. They are a little lower than they look, but if I had my time back, I would have gotten the low rise for looks, but these are the right height for me. I thought about the Carlini's, but these were a better price. As mentioned before, I thought about the street slammers, but I had the White Bros delivered to Canada for about the same price if not a little cheaper than the Street Slammers. I will try to post a couple of different pictures.

Here is the link from Dennis Kirk where I bought mine. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/cm...questid=239682

Slammers on a Fattie is an interesting look. Being a guy with bunk bars and a bike in "Transition" I would say go with the short riser for looks the tall for comfort.

In the end looks win out in my garage....

Man thats wrong.

I have a set of actual Harley slammers. Pristine. 7" riser. nice. PM
