Question maybe, just maybe a stupid FAT BOB question

sitting around doing nothing, got thinking about a FAT BOB again. certainly nothing wrong with my '07 FAT BOY,but i keep looking at the FXDF. as local dealer has a few to many '09s in stock, they could make me a REAL GOOD DEAL. question is,because i have been in the SOFTAIL ranks for a few years now, could i be happy with the FAT BOB? i don't know a soul with one,so i would like some good/bad/inbetween comments or info from those of you with actual ownership knowledge. again, thinking of trading on an '09,don't really need anything special. 95% in town riding. WHAT ABOUT THAT '10 CVO,SWEEEET. thanks.

I really can't tell you too many complaints I have about my fatbob. I get lots of compliments and just love this ride. I rode a softy and didn't like the handling. I think it is the perfect scoot around town ride other than a sporty.

I have a friend who had 2 fatboys. He sold them a few years ago because he was getting out of riding. I bought my FXDF and brought it over to his house a few months ago. I let him take it for a ride and let me tell you, when he came back he wasn't even up to the drive way yet and he was grinning ear to ear and yelling up to me about awesome he thought the bike was. That's all he kept saying was how he couldn't believe how much better the Fatbob handled and rode compared to his Fatboys. He was pretty impressed.

I test rode both and was much happier with the ride of the Fat Bob. Clearly it's about personal preference, but I'm very happy with my choice.

The Fat Bob is a sportier bike, a little more "personality" than the more conservative Fat Boy I think. When I say personality, it will vibrate the fenders, and your fillings, but then it just likes to run... with those RPMs up... its not for the feint of heart type rider. Out of the showroom its not a laid back kind of ride, but modifications are endless.

When I was at the dealer a couple weeks ago he had sold his last 2009 Fat Bob. I'm surprised there are many left.

The CVO is a lotta money, you could probably keep your Boy and get a standard Bob for the same $$$ as the CVO.

I think Harley sells more Fat Boys than any other model, so they can't be all bad.

i think you'll find that the dyna line will handle better than a softail, esecially in turns. the shocks on the outside aid in stability.

Runs better, rides better, handles better. Looks better in my opinion. The Fat Bob that is.

I have never rode a softie myself , but I can attest to the fatbob's handling . I feel like it's an extention of my body when I'm riding it and just have to think it and the bike takes me where i want!

The Fat Bob is my first Harley , I have been riding Hondas for 20 + years, two Magnas. I can tell you that the Fat Bob handles way better than my 97 Magna did. I was worried about vibration on the Harley ,. That is not an issue .It vibrates while ideling but as soon as you start moving it is as smooth as my 4 cylinder Magna .I was shocked at that.

I wouldnt be surprised if the Fat Bob becomes a top seller for Harley if its not already.
