Default Platinum air suspension install

Does anyone have any experience in installing the bleed and feed air suspension kit? The reason I ask is that it comes with a stainless steel splash guard that I cant figure out how you would even use it. I had read on here about someone installing the controls on there stock splash guard and was wondering if anyone had any pics. Thanks for the help!!

I am considering this system as well. From what I understand, the SS one in this system has the "electronics" mounted on the side facing the engine. This guard replaces the black plastic one currently on the bike.

You are correct that the s.s. plate replaces your stock splash guard. But when you look at it and compare it to the stock guard it seems like there is no way that it would fit. Plus I have a night train and I dont really think that it would look that good. I was just wondering who mounted the controls to there stock splash guard and got rid of the ss plate.

I remember someone mounting the controls on their stock plastic guard. I had my ss guard powder coated. Matter of fact, the original owner pc'd it, the shocks and the compressor for me.

When I wrote original owner, I meant owner of Platinun Air. I wrote and told him I really liked the set-up, just didn't believe it would look right on an all black bike. He said he would check on it and call me back. He called 2 days later saying it could be done and he'd do it at no extra cost. That's customer service!
