Ive searched and searched and can't really find the answers im looking for so sorry for bringing this up again.
Can you get descent air suspension for around 500$, I've heard some people say hi-lo rider is the way to go but I cannot find a place that sells their stuff. And most of the low end air suspension say they fit '00 and up, which doesn't always seem correct. I have an 07 fxst and just want to be able to drop it and still have rear suspension. thanks in advance
I've checked ebay and I cannot find hi/low. is that how you spell it? i've tried searching for just softail air suspension and still cannot find hi/low.
Jake, it all depends on what you mean by a decent ride. The Hi-Lo is fine, however there are much better systems out there as well. Yes, they do cost quite a bit more, but the benefits are worth it. I have ridden a bike with Hi-Lo and it's fine until you hit a big bump at speed at which time you will experience the "pogo" effect. Since the chambers are filled with air you butt will come off the seat slightly. Other air rides employ multiple chambers to control the compression and rebound which results in a much smoother ride. I like the platinum as that is what is on my Heritage, but there is also the Shotgun Shock and a few others. I do offer the Platinum at a discounted price for forum members. If you are interested please PM me and we can talk.
Ill send you a pm, $1000 would be out of my price range which seems what the platinum goes for, and the pogo effect does not seem too horrible to me. basically im curious if air ride can be done for 500$ and i won't have garbage that gets replaced later down the road
Hi LO for me .... Lifetime warranty on it. Pogo has never been an issue with mine. I do not fill it up all the way. Only when the wife is on. Even when she is on and we hit a bump it is a smooth ride. Shotgun and any type of Bleed feed is a hell of a system though.

I agree with Saint 100%! I have had mine for about 2 years now, and absolutely no problems. If these other systems were available back when I did mine, I may of went that way....but this is working great for me.
Seems like hi/lo rider is the best bang for the buck, but I can't find it anywhere and seems like biker buddy does not even have a site anymore. Ive searched ebay with no success. Does anyone know where you can get the hi/lo rider system for around $550? Any site vendors that sell it?
