If you are losing traction you need more rebound (back switch down) Hows the tread on your tire? What kind of road surface. I have not lost traction but those are my thoughts on it. I think i avhe a swingarm bushing issue as my bike seems to squeak ast certain spots in teh travel sometimes. When I get my other swingarm chromed I'll pull off the other and put new bushings.
Put your bike on the lift and raise and lower the shock with the rear wheel off the ground and see if it makes noise and if so where in the travel.

The tire is brand new, the road had lots of patch work. Talked to JD he said there's no rubber in the shock so the sound might be from worn heims on the swingarm. Going to try some lube see if that helps.
