I dont think that the fat rear tire softails have the belt rub issues that the skinnies do. I know that some of the guys with skinnies had to change their rear pulley because of it.
I don't know. Rob's does the same as mine. I ride mine aired up so it's not an issue. I air it up, then drop it an inch or two and stiffen the rebound. Rides great. When I park I dump it and watch people turn and look, lol!
None taken brother. funny as chit happened when I was leaving work for lunch today. I'm at my sled getting ready to roll out for lunch and one of the elderly ladies from work is walking by to keave for lunch and she says hey gangsta!!! LMFAO so it must be! haha
Man I hate that they move these threads I searched and searched for it until it dawned on me that it got moved down here in the basement outta sight.

2003 fat boy
Ordered shot gun shocks last week, ups showing up this am. CANT WAIT TO INSTALL.
Heading out Friday from VT to VA. Should be a long sweet ride
The most comfortable for me is to air it all the way up and then lower it 3 inches with the rebound switch but mostly i just ride on the stops and use the switches to get a good angle for parking.
Ya thats another advantage I found in a uneven parking spot !
I haven't been out for a long ride yet but it occurred to me the other day playing with the toggles that on a long ride I can bang it all the way down on smooth roads then all the way up after an hour or so changing the riding position enough to take the discomfort of seat , shoulders ect .. whatever is bothering me all on the fly ,so many advantages to having the Shotgun shocks !! ,Joe
I thought I heard a little wine when I was dropped right down the other day !
I guess I should put her on the lift and check it out !
I usually don't ride all the way down because the roads are so bumpy here, thanks for the heads up !
Could ya just do a bit of grinding of the primary if it rubs a little??
I had to grind the bar that runs horizontaly in the swing arm just a mill or so because the eye let holes of the shock bottomed out hitting it and I didn't want any damage over time , it was a true ridged at that point !!
Cant beat the ride of the shocks though!!
