+1 on the Shotguns. When I took the bike home after JD installed the shock system I hit a couple of pot holes and ruts on the typical southern California freeway and I was preparring for the SHARP jolt and slamming of the bike but received NONE of those only a SMOOTH ride.
Yep SS all the way.

The ride on my bike after the Shotgun install is just as amazing as how it makes the bike look. I was so used to fighting the bike when I got in ruts. A few days after the install I was riding along and just happened to notice I was in a rut and thats when it hit me, I DON'T feel it and I am NOT fighting my bike while going along dead smack in the middle of this rut. It's function and performance is just as impressive as it's appeal and looks. I seldom gush over anything but the Shotgun shock is by far my favorite mod and I have a ton of them on my bike. ANYONE who makes the investment and installs the system on their bike will never be sorry they did so. Also, I am kind of a shy guy, I don't like being a center of attention but I do love pulling up to a group of people or at a bar and then dumping it. It's gets everyone asking or saying, did you see that? And then the questions start. I am not a big drinker especially when riding but the Shotgun has gotten me more free drinks then I have had in the past 20 years.

Too bad they dont make an air shock you could fill externally without the on board compressor and maybe for half the $.
I know what you are saying but u will not have the adjustment that makes this shock sweet..it's worth every penny,I just got back from a ride and the ride quality is great.

Slamming it is not my thing but a comfortable ride is and SS are reported to be the best but no way I'm droppin 1200 on shocks. 600 maybe. I'm just too much of a tight ***. Took me 4 years to convince myself to get a BAL-1 tail light because of the money.
