Just installed shotgun shock and so far I am very happy with the quality of the ride.I first had bolts and then got 422's and with a bad back neither one of those worked for me.I like having my bike lowered and now I have the best of both worlds.
Once you get it dialed in and used to it you will NOT be sorry you got the Shotguns, especially when you pull up at a bar and drop it down, get off like nothing is new and go about your business while everyone is standing around saying, "Did you see that"!!! Yea, it's cool but it is also a very high quailty ride. When I get my bike in a rut in the road now, I don't even feel it no more. That shotgun shock eats it up.
The best thing ever created. Don't know if you guys know what the Woodward Dream cruise is or not, but I rolled into a packed parking lot full of classic cars and dumped the shock and everyone turned and was in awe. Had to explain and demonstrate to dozens of people about the shock.
Funny grew up in greater Detroit area didnt have the dream cruise when I lived there. We use to race up and down Woodward and Gratiot and would get chased out by the police. I would like to check it out sometime.
I dont want to hijack thread but I have a question. I see that everyone drops the shotgun shock down. Can you raise the shotgun shock height higher than stock on deluxe. And if so, how much higher than stock? I need to raise the stock height on deluxe for mountain roads.
