The instructions say to drill the holes on the bottom of the trans. This step was not required on mine and I don't believe will be on your 2011.

I'm glad I tried the bolts before I went to drilling, could have been a bad deal.

Question

I am putting chrome covers and switches to replace the black ones. Has anyone used the H-D Auxiliary Accessory Switch Housing Kit to run his shotguns?
JD, please jump in if you see this post. Thank you.

Wiring switches to a handlebar location is alot of labor but possible, try factory mount first and you will find it an easy install and convenient location for adjusting the suspension. You want my opinion, just ask.

Thank you JD. I will mount the switches on the horn bracket first. I just thought it would be cool to have them on the handlebars.

The cool factor is always a consideration, but you need to be familiar with the factory switch operation in order to have a clear plan of how to wire into bars. If you decide to custom mount switches or wire into your switches, I can provide a color coded extension in order to simplify your customizing.
