Default 2014 SGS Speaker only Upgrade Question

Hi All,
Considering the Kappa 62.11i's for my bike. I want better audio but NO AMP at this time.

Has anyone done a speaker only install on their bike? Is it a waste of money without an amp?

Not looking for super load, just better. Stockers SUCK in my opinion.

Thank you.

I read that they recommend a minimum of 25w input. Amp it, and just get it over with. You will anyway. It's not so much about super loud, but about clarity with no distortion. They're really good speakers. They are 2 ohm speakers. Are you running the stock head unit?

Agree with above...put the amp in now and be done. You are going to have to cut the stock speaker wire ends off if you only change the speakers. If you put the amp in now you can just disconnect the stock harnesses and save them in case you put the stock speakers back in. Pretty happy with my set up with the magic box.
