When I wired my 2180 I placed the power wire in-line fuse toward the battery end, probably 6" from, for ease of service. Any reason, beside personal preference, that this is incorrect or that it should be a certain distance from the amp?
Also, since the 2180 comes with 14AWG I went with that for both power & ground (to battery). Not sure anything bigger would fit in amp terminal. Anyone ran bigger with BT amp, or who believes this is not sufficient?
Have had a few issues that have me reviewing everything...
I just talked to Bill about this yesterday and he told me the wire they use is just fine. He said the BT amps are so efficient they do not need any bigger wire.
Have had some issues with amps, and blown fuses. BT is awesome as usual but thought I could get some input from others here. Assume everyone is using a fused link, but obviously not wanting to comment.
