I'm adding a RF PBR300x2 to my system. I currently have 4 Infiniti 62.11's mounted in the fairing and lowers. They are 2 ohm and are behind my RZ4-2000D amp. I'm adding HT speaker lids with Pioneer TS-D6902R 6x9's and a PBR300x2. The Pioneers are 4 ohm. I have noticed in the past that no matter the brand of speaker (Polk MM651 or the Infiniti's) I hear the fairing speakers much better than the lowers. I'm thinking of putting the fairing speakers on the PBR and the lowers and lids on the RZ4 thinking I can adjust the gains independently for front/rear fade, but that puts both 2 ohm and 4 ohm speakers on the RZ4. I'm not very knowledgeable about amps and ohms. Is it safe to run 2 and 4 ohm speakers off the same amp? Any opinion welcomed.

Not a problem running the fairing speakers and the pioneers off the RZ4.
Correct. I run polks and pioneers off the rz4. I would probably run the lids off the pbr... pretty sure the pbr will throw more watt than the SS or rz4 to 4 ohm speakers...just my 2 centd
Next question. If I keep the fairing and lowers on the front 2 channels, do I need Y jacks for the RCA's or do I run the speakers in parallel? Seems like either would work, provided that both pairs of 16 gauge speaker wires will fit into the screw terminals of the amp.

John, you are confusing me here... you want to run the 4 infinity's in parallel of the Front channel (L+R) of the RZ? you cannot do so, as 2 infinity's in parallel will create a 1 ohm load. in series would work but that would significantly reduce your power to each speaker.
I would personally do the following:
take HU front rca (if you run aftermarket HU) and bring those to both front and rear rca inputs of the RZ4 by - indeed - using a Y rca splitter. then run HU Rear RCA to PBR for ther lids.
