My BT4180 will end up running 8 speakers (2 pair per channel front and rear):
BT7P1s in the fairing, BT477s (the bare version of their BT471 6.5" fairing speaker kit) in my lower fairings up front.
BT479s in HogTunes 6x9 lids along with another pair of BT477s in my HogTunes Tour Pak speaker pods.
Each pair is in parallel on their respective channels (F/R). I have a Power Acoustik RZ4.2000D powering things right now with satisfactory results, but expect a fairly significant boost in power with the BT4180. I'm just waiting on temps above freezing for more than one day so I can actually do the install. AAWAV has it on good authority that the BT4180 puts out 330W per channel into 2 ohms, so in my case I should be getting 165W into each pair of speakers, as opposed to 140W per channel (70 per pair) with the RZ4.
Regardless, the BT4810 will give you the headroom and power you need if/when you add speakers. And you likely WILL add speakers down the road!
Question guys.
The bt4180 is only if your running 4 speakers right?
I have a BT 2180 but I'm only running fairing speakers.
Is this how it works?
Gliden - You're fine running two speakers up front with the BT2180. You can actually run 4 max in parallel if they are 4 Ohm speakers. Same thing with the BT4180. 8 speakers can easily be ran in parallel due to the power and efficiency of these amps. It's a beautiful thing!

Thanks Mr. G,
So if I decide next winter to add lids w speakers I'd probably need another 2180 or sell this one and get the 4 ch?

Thats exactly what I did Gliden.
Finally got a little warmer today and did the install on the 4180 and all I can say is WOW...wait someone started that thread....Anyway, it sounds crips, clear and frinken loud with the 7.1 and 6.5 Titans. Did the adjustments thru the Alpine HU and the jams are back baby....It's really iamazing. Thanks BILL & BT staff. Well done.
