Hi all, in the process of purchasing all my parts for my audio upgrade. Purchased a used set of Biketronic 7.1's from a member. Looking at the RF300x2 amp per the suggestions of this forum.. checking out the bracket on eBay here:
I asked the seller if it will work with the CB module installed and he said it would although it would have to be relocated to somewhere other than on top of the radio? He said others have done it but he had not. Anyone here have experience with what I need to do to make this bracket work on my FLKTK with CB module before I purchase?

There's a guy I bought a couple of these brackets off of. Excellent work. I'm not totally sure if he still makes them or not but you might e-mail him and ask. His brackets accommodated the CB. . Sweet set up. Scott Ezzell is his name. ezzell141@comcast.net Very nice guy! Rumor mill has it that he quit making them but he might make an exception if the price is right.

heard the same - not making them anymore.... it does work great though... relocate stuff UNDER the Stock radio (Bro got it as he got the ipod interface... REALLY?... yes really, does NOT want aftermarket radio as it ALWAYS rains in Amsterdam)
Maybe you can make or purchase the rubber amplifier pad that Rockford Fosgate uses in their Prime Motorcycle Kits? For a picture, take a look at the instruction page.
Hey neighbor just my .02 cents here is what I done and thanks go to Ultranutz and Gannicus for the idea. This is based on installing RF PBR300x2 or 4,you having only the cb in the way issue and using factory radio. Tools needed dremel tool with cut off wheel, stickon anti scuff pads (Walmart), piece of stiff poster board (I used a nilla file folder), small piece of sheet metal, metal cutting sheers, Sharpie, utility knife, and an open mind. You will have to cut off some pieces from your bike but it will not affect anything or show after install. Remove factory radio locate metal support bracket that the cb was slid into it has four rubber grommets. Using dremel tool with cut-off wheel remove part of the support bracket from radio. Use caution when cutting were the bracket was tac welded to the radio casing, file down any rough edges, reinstall radio. In order for more air flow place anti scuff pads to corners of amp. Place amp on radio, beside cb, power plug facing toward tachometer slide up till amp hits rear of tachometer. Using sharpie mark tachometer were amp makes contact. Remove tachometer and cut were you marked to flush with rear of tachometer reinstall tachometer. Amp should slide to near flush with rear of radio. Remove small screw from rear of radio. Using the nilla folder cut piece big enough to bend to make a template to make metal mounting bracket. This is were an open mind comes into use. Bend the folder to were it contacts the mounting arms of amp. While holding bent folder to amp mark paper were it will mount to amp and rear of radio. Now take the template and make metal bracket with mounting holes. I had a table vise and table grinder to make fabrication easier but you can do it. With rough cut bracket made mount the bracket and make adjustments as needed.
HD if you are talking about my bracket I just made mine from scrap nothing fancy but it works. I'm not trying to make no money on it just trying to help other members save some money. I'm not implying that you are trying to make money on it. I will help anyway I can. Have a blessed day!!
