Vendors in threads??
I learned first hand with that vendor, that when you purchase one item from him, and then there are quality issues or flat out misrepresentations regarding the product, or heaven forbid, warranties to be backed up, he disappears.
And since you guys are looking for facts, looks like that vendor has disappeared again. . . . . . .
do not get me wrong - I love to tinker... built my own amps for the band I used to play in, always loved music, got my electronics/computer science degree...
But, if I would do this, then i got to RIP you guys all off
Check out Cycle Sounds... new micro amp... kiss my a...
it is a NVX NVPA4!!!! with a cycle sounds label on it... and then on top of it asking 100 bucks more than all other well known internet vendors ....
I am all about Customer Service - to a point right - so I would just keep spending time on 1 customer and therefore losing time and money.
so far, no PM, no nothing from John.
I will give him until Sat 12pm PST, otherwise the fairing goes on and he basically agrees with the fact most of the serious audio dudes consider his stuff highly overpriced "Stront" (figure that one out LOL)
Keep in mind I never heard or seen his stuff, so I stay objective until I hear it...

A vendor is not allowed to start a thread except in their own vendor area or if the thread is an instruction on how to use or install their product.
They CAN post in any thread that discusses products they make or sell or if someone is looking for similar products. That said, they cannot badmouth other vendors products.
This is not new. This has always been the rules for vendors.
On the other side of this there is a rule against bashing vendors. You may discuss your views or experiences with their products, but calling them names or calling them crooks and such is not allowed. If you get a speaker from Joe's Audio and it doesn't work properly you can tell people that. If Joe's Audio refuses to back up their warranty or product, you can discuss that as well. But ranting against them because everyone else is doing so, is not allowed.
These rules protect the vendor and the members. So yes, if a thread goes off track of the above rules, it could very well be locked and or removed. It's an attempt to keep things civil.
If any of you wish to discuss this further, please PM me. I'm not running away or hiding and I'm not shutting down every little nasty thread that pops up. But it's time you guys understand the rules and think about chilling out a bit.
One more thing. Mods are not assigned to certain sections unless they request it. We are all mods-at-large and work many sections. UltraNutz asked to work this section for obvious reasons. I don't know if anyone else is checking this area at this time, but I have started to do so. I'm going to do my best to put out fires before they get out of hand. That goes for members and vendors.
