that's what I thought also...pretty harmless and I believe it would go a long way here to make some friends for John...I guess he not going to step up?

thanks izzo for your response and your promise to keep eye on the situation.

John you are going at this all wrong.....your products might have a home here and so do you if maybe you speak the truth and not a sales pitch

Sounds to me like we can look forward to a future of continuing to have threads hijacked. Unsolicited "commercials" for products even when the questions asked were specifically about other products. Is it just me or has it only taken a couple weeks for this to turn into a place where you need to dodge tumbleweeds and knock cobwebs out of your way before you can ask or answer a question. It's not as though that precise scenario wasn't laid out as what was going to happen. It's also pretty suspicious that the same vendor who has zero issue hijacking every other thread was offered the opportunity to lay everything to rest by having their product tested hasn't been heard from in this one. Even though he has posted in other threads since the offer was made in here...crickets. Well, except of course for the protections offered by those he runs crying to. Must be a ton of money he trucks in for such considerations. I've said it before and I'll say again...only this time you can already see it happening. When there is nothing/nobody left and the forum owners, mods, and that vendor are the only ones still standing in the empty hall they can pat each other on the back and talk about how they showed us.

Still no beep from John.

"It seemed like a harmless invite to me. Unless there's something to hide."

for those that do not know the "facts" - I am actually SPENDING money (return shipping), let alone countless hours testing the amps and writing up the reports, all for the greater good... I even accept the fact the OL kicked me out to the spare bedroom cuz the blasting of music in the garage pissed her off (kidding!).
One day I have faith it will be returned to me in some way or the other but not expected. similar to Nutz, Gannicus and several others. we all want to help the Harley "audio community"...

I do want to test his best amp and WILL be objective... as I am with other amps (whether or not I have a great relationship with them or not).
The sheer fact he is not replying/answering, gives me nothing but the impression he is not trusting me, his products or whatever...

BTW what others think of me, I don't give a S..t

I have no dog in this fight, I never had any JM products on my Streetglide and only bought the MHAS system for my Heritage based on Ultranutz recommendation. I too find the constant "thread "bombing" tiring after awhile, and I would very much like John to send an amp for testing.
One point to remember is that testing an amp can only show if it will meet spec, and really can't show much more. To really judge his products you would need to hear the complete system, preferably in competition with a comparable bike with BT, Infinity, or whatever speakers and accompanying amps. Although John has been conspicuously silent on the amp challenge he did post this:

"now just do one thing for me ,,,,, bring your bike by the J&M Audio trailer at ANY of the rallies this year and let me show you a better SPEAKER for your lids, as the B/T 6X9" speakers are not the best ,,,,,

there are MUCH better 6X9's around to install into those well designed H/T lids you have ,,,,,, J&M does NOT offer a 6X9" speaker so I am not trying to sell you one of ours ,,,,

I would really like to see (and hear!) a face-off between the JM bike and someone with a full BT system, Infinity/Soundstream/, or what have you. That would be something!

BTW, my MHAS system sounds better than I expected, Nutz was right.

Well my friend I don't think we are going to see his face around . I think it must be under one of the forums owners desks. They will cover his *** all the way money talks so do blow jobs I guess. Thank you for all your help it means a lot to us.

Is it just me or don't you think that someone out there has a J&M amp that they are not using, and could send it in for the bench test??

And if he is selling so much of his stuff, shouldn't there be an amp out there that got swapped out due to whatever reason??

Come on, there's how many members on this forum and probably other forums, someone has got to have one laying around somewhere????

Maybe there is more to the "throttled" amps that has been discussed in another thread and someone does not want to get caught with the pants down??
