In our testing and what we usually hear from people that have tried both the Pro's are are a little clearer and will definitely give you a higher peak volume. Aprox 15-20% louder. They are the only speakers I have tested that stay clear past what my ears can handle.
But - They would be close to the same on a lower powered amp, the amp would be the weakest link. And it also obviously depends on source, with the pre-2014 stock HD radio I am not sure if you would hear as big of a difference because the radio would start producing distortion before either speaker gave out.
And - Our regular 7.1" are pretty darn good, they are plenty for a lot of people and depending on amp/source/your ears/bike setup/what mood your girlfriend is in it might not be worth the difference in cost.

What an awesome response direct from the company.

Any thoughts where you going to put the second amp, I'm debating adding a second BT 4180 myself.

not sure yet...was thinking try and stack them but that's not even on radar yet....friend put 4 6.9 in his bag and got the new rf amp mounted to the inside of bag on the back wall looks like it takes up min space there
That would be possible, let me think of how to do it. The Pro kits are very expensive for us to make so I would have to have something like 8-10 confirmed sales to do much of a discount above what we usually do. The regular 7.1s would be easier, maybe 5 sets minimum but a better discount with 10.
Not sure how to tell everyone or set it up though - any thoughts?

if you guys come up with a group purches I'm in
but I'm also happy with just the hdforum discount you already offer
Well, I'm in on a group purchase if it includes the 4180 amp and either set of speakers. Would need to happen soon as my tax return hits next week and you know what they say about a fool and his money. Harley already seperated this fool from his money on an upgrade already.
Now I have good advice , and Biketronics is a "sound" investment
