Just a quick, or hopefully quick, question about speakers. I have a Sony DSX-MS60 (which I'm thinking about changing out for the Pioneer MVH-X560BT), Soundstream pn4.520d amp powering Polk DXi-6501 components in the fairing and Polk Dxi-691 6x9's in hogtunes lids. While it's loud, the sound quality is just eh. Just too harsh for my taste. I know it's a bike, but I'd like it better.
I was thinking of upgrading to the Alpine SPR components and 6x9's but all the shops at rallies I've talked to are saying that I won't be happy because I don't have enough power going to them.
Anybody running this combo? Any other speakers that would be an upgrade over the DXi's? I know there's high end Hertz and Focal, but I don't have that kind of money.
