Help is needed- I am a solo rider because my wife hates the motorcycle. My question is I recently purchased but have not installed a BT 2180 amp and a pair of BT 7PI speakers I am now second-guessing myself and thinking about selling this amp and buying a BT 4180 and a pair of Bt479 's for the lids I was just wondering how the two systems compare
Or if it would even be noticed by a solo rider --- thanks

I'd check out the 2180 with the 7.1's first. Riding Solo that might be all you need. Very powerful set up!

I thought that also but I only wanted to install the amp once and figured I would have a better chance selling my current amp because it's never been hooked up or out of the package

I'd vote the current setup you were planning on going with. The lids would definitely add to the sound....sitting still. Going down the road that source is behind you and wouldn't add much more to what you would noticeably be able to hear. If your wife rode then I'd say definitely but as you run solo, not so much.
