Rushmore 14/15 motorcycle owners this post is for you.


For those of you who already upgraded their audio system and installed the magic box and STILL are using it instead of doing the flash,
here are some simple questions.


The latest Boombox software update as of this day is 1.18.3


Since the installation did you do any boom software upgrades?


If you did or not what software upgrade do you have on?


And finally since upgrading the software did you notice any problems whatsoever with the magic box.


I have a 15 SGS with 1.18.3 software upgrade and i will continue to upgrade everytime a new one comes out maybe SOME day this system will work as it is suppose to. (????)


For now...regardless of the system i will install (my choice is made already) i don't want the flash beeing done, there seems to be to many problems out there and because the HD dealer is far from where i live i choose not to go there several times.


Fellow bikers your answers will sure help me and others to decide
what is best for now.

Have a 14 Limited ,used both methods magic box and no box
With the kappas 62.11 and pbr 300 x 2 no flash
IMO sounds better with no box ,maybe others with the flash will have
a different opinion

 

thanks for the info. Softhera i apreciate but the purpose of this post is for those who still have the box installed and are doing the software upgrade everytime a new one comes out.


the reason is there seems to be a problem mostly on 2015 bikes for those who have upgraded there audio system and did the flash instead of installing the magic box... and after downloading the new Boombox software upgrade, are having problems that they did'nt have before.
Some guys think that the MOCO is blocking the aftermarket systems with those new Boombox software upgrades. Lets try to get this thing cleared up.

I am running the magic box since June 2014. I have done I think 2 software updates since installing the box. I haven't had any audio issues with the updates, however I have not yet done the latest (1.18.3) update, the one that might be causing an issue with audio quality. I am real hesitant to do this update, but at the same time I want the GPS zoom issue fixed! I was thinking about starting a thread like this, just for us magic box users, to see if the update f*cks anything up. It would be great to hear some feedback on some other magic box users.

So far, I have been pretty happy with the box, but still wonder if I should try the flash. But now there seems to be even more issues than before! Very Frustrating!!

My bike is in the shed in the back yard with a foot of snow keeping it there for a few more weeks so I can't do anything right now anyway....

and i do agree with you that it would be great to have more and more feedbacks
from magic box users with the latest 1.18.3 update.
