Default Inner and outer fairing gap

Situation: 2009 Streetglide with Polk MM465 speakers using Arc Audio adapters. Left side of outer fairing not tight against inner fairing. There is a 1/4 inch or so gap. When I push them together it does not appear that the speaker magnet is hitting the outer fairing.

Anyone experience this? Maybe the bracket that attaches to the inner fairing support and the lower part of the speaker?

Pull your headlight and look up through there. I found that my AMP was causing my issue. Or look at the inside of the outer fairing and look for rubbing marks.
