Lots of these threads out there. If you have speakers in your lowers and have info/pics to share, please add them here. I did not put 6.5 in the title because there are a lot of options for audio in the lowers.
List please; What lower fairing you are using.
What speaker, make-model or part number
What grill you used.
Any tips on mods needed or anything you think you can help the
next rider/installer with.
I have nothing compared to some of the guys here, but could do it all again in less than half the time from the lessons learned and mistakes made. Hope to help others out and avoid those "learning" moments. One of my favorite sayings is that experience is something you gain about 2 minutes AFTER you actually needed it.

Pods need to be painted, other than that the install was easy. My lowers were already painted. Fit and finish is flush and everything lined up perfect.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay to have the speaker pods painted
Damn they look good for rattle can paint job, I have some gloss black made for plastic did he go over them with a UV clear coat or just the black.
I plan on doing the same HD rattle can. I found a good post on someone who painted their inner fairing. Prep, spray with adhesive promotor, primer, and paint. If i don't mess it all up, I'll post up some pics and my how-to in a few weeks when I try to figure this out.
I'm running Matazu lowers, prefinished in Vivid Black. I had a previous set of Polk MM651's that failed. Replaced with Infinity 62.11's. The Infinity grills won't work, but the Polk grilles fit them perfectly. See my sig pic.
I have my stock CVO grills and That I have in the uppers and lowers. I tuned my amp and just adjusted the high, mids, lows on my alpine, and holy ****. I may not win a show (don't really care), but at highway speed, my **** rocks. Prior to the adjustments people with stock audio 2-3 bikes behind me told me the songs I listened to. That's a testament.
