I listen to mostly rock & some heavy stuff too (FFDP, slipknot, chevelle, Ozzy, Pantera, etc) I used Tool's aenima (sp?) CD to set gains since it tends to have a good range of volume within the same song, it sounded pretty good cranked up, but I'm sure I'll be wanting more eventually.
Ffdp doesnt sound too good on mine.. Their sound is real distorted anyway.. Pantera plays real damn good.. Stranglehold is prob the best damn song to listen to on the bike lol.. Most of the time I'm listening to machine head or cannibal corpse which have heavy fast drum beats
