Looking at replacing the stock speakers on my 07 street glide and keeping the HK head unit for now. Are there speakers at Best Buy that would actually sound better than the stock? I don't know a lot about audio systems and would like some input on changing out speakers first. I know they have name brand speakers mentioned here on the forum, but I'm not sure which ones would work the best. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
I have kickers that I bought online. They are CS series 6.5. Buddy just bought Kickers from wamart. I was there for the install, and I think I might be going to walmart.
I have a 2012 cvo SG. I can tell you I went budget on all. Bought a radio install kit on ebay. Went with alpine BT unit. Soundstream 520 amp. 4 Kickers 2 uppers 2 lowers. Am I going to win an audio contest. No. Can I hear my **** at 85-100 MPH, Yes.
Still sounds good.
The fact is, HD stock audio sucks. Doesn't matter if it's a CVO, it sucks. If you like music, replace it.
Amen to that. Its hard getting over the Stock HU and all those bells and whistles. Its the stock look thats hard to get over, for me and the old Radio Sound, getting over that was QUICK, and the Alpine unit was the bomb. No complaints here.

Yeah Brian as Mduncan said you'll be very happy with the kicker CS series from bestbuy. Blows the stock system away! Make sure you pair them with a decent two or four channel amp of at least 100 watts at 4 ohms.
