Default Adding a amp

I know it's not the right thing to do but can I just add a amp to my 2014 ultra limited? All I want is more volume for now and I will get the speakers later. Is that possable for now?

It might work for a little while, but the stock 5.25" speakers aren't likely to last very long with an amp overpowering them.

The ultra limited should come with 4x Boom 6.5's I don't know if it comes with an amp but if it doesn't you can find one of those Boom amp's everyone is dumping for cheap. You wont be satisfied with anything labeled "Boom"

Replace those stock POS speakers and get yourself some Infiniti Kappa 62.11i's for around $100/set. Replace the front and rear speakers. Use the V-Twin rear pods found here http://www.vtwinaudio.com/store/prod...r-pod-adapter/ and the replace your front grills with these http://www.vtwinaudio.com/store/products/vtfg14/.

This is what I did so far (no amp) and am very happy with the result. Much louder and clearer than stock and no messing with radio flashes.

Choose speakers first, then choose an amp. There is a lot of good info here on matching amp to speakers and ending up with at nice system.
