I lost a good part of my FM with the PBR300X2

If this is just an issue all around I'll just go back to no upgraded system at all. I think I've posted this in this thread earlier, but I also put a kenwood amp\speakers in my Tahoe and all though I didn't lose as much FM, I still lost some. I wonder what the result would be if I moved the BT amp to a rear lower saddle bag and got it off the radio all together. I think a big part of this is the fact that the amp sits right on top the radio. The tech's I've talked to locally said even in the Tahoe get it as far away from the HU as possible? I'm not sure... I am certainly not a FM signal or amp expert by any means. I'll call Bill at lunch today and see what he suggests... I've read a few threads about putting some ferrite beads and chocks on?

I touched base with Bill. He is completely understanding of my situation. That being the original start to my post (HogTunes Fail). With putting in that system, getting a bad amp, sending it back, getting a refurb. Then taking it all out and sending the entire system back for a refund. Ordered the BT system and now the FM signal issues. Over the last 1.5 months, I have had my bike ripped apart probably 25x's...

So given all that, Bill and BT are completely understanding and he said he is willing to try whatever I want. He also said, If I am just done and had enough, he will send me a shipping label to send everything back for a full refund...

Man, I just don't know what to do. I don't want my frustration to decide for me, but I honestly just don't think replacing the amp with another one is going to make a bit of difference?? He would even send me an aftermarket HU and a new amp to try it all. Of course if it resolves the issue then I will have to work out the payment on the HU and anything else like the install kits for the HU.

Tossed man... Part of me says white flag, I've had enough. The other part of me just wants to get it resolved and have a nice system. But if I get a HU and new amp and get it all in, and still have FM issues.

Dam Brother! Your situation is unique. JM John claims his amps don't interfere with FM. If you can't get it resolved with the BT amp you might reach out to JM John.

Is JMJohn his forum name? Or how to I get in touch with him. I sure would LOVE to figure out what is going on. I mean it is a substantial difference when the amp is in the system. My FM cuts out dramatically shorter distances from town. So something is not right. Maybe he doesn't have his line converters and amp, placed where I do...?? Ugg...

I was praying I would take the amp out and have no difference, I would of just assumed something went with my HK HU. But no such luck. I just don't want to spend hours swapping and mailing parts around.

I think because the Arc Audio 125.4 are Class GH and not class D?

Jam --- no one likes a quitter. I have my fairing off 25x a week!!! You can see this thru and have a bad azz system you will enjoy. Especially after all the hassles with HT and now FM loss. There is a fix, and it's worth finding.

I could not imagine enjoying my bike as much as I do without a blasting system.

lol.. I was waiting for the "no one likes a quitter" quote... you guys kill me... :-). ok... so given my situation, what would you guys try? New BT amp, new BT amp and aftermarket HU. Something completely different? Looking for your wisdom brother... ;-)

I'd give Bill a shot first. He will go to the ends of the earth to help you if he can. Get an aftermarket HU and work with Bill. My suggestion on the HU would be the Sony MEX-M70BT or the Sony MEX-GS810BH. You can buy both from Bill.
