I have 09 street glide, stock radio with Hogtunes 2ohm front speaker and I'm installing 4ohm 6x9 in the bag lids. I need a 4 channel amp that won't break the bank that will just plug in. What do u guys recommend and can I run two different ohm speakers? Thanks
some options:
SS PN4.520
PA RZ2000.4D
Cerwin Vega B4
there is plenty of threads here with the exact same question (and answers).
nothing is plug and play BTW...
Yes I listen to fm but only sometimes. I mostly listen to home made cd's and Bluetooth through my aux. I'd also consider a new bluetooth radio with built in amp. I've been reading a lot and am only more confused. Just wanted a suggestion on the most common setups.

All the amps AAWAV mentioned are 2 or 4 ohm compatible. No problem running 2 ohm speakers up front and 4 ohm lid speakers if you choose one of the recommended amps. One thing I would do is upgrade the Hog Tune speakers to the infinity 62.11i speakers. You can get a set for about $100 bucks. Probably cheaper than that if you ask around. A lot of guys are upgrading to the BT products and have thier infinity's for sale.
As AAWAV said nothing is plug and play. You will have to run a power and ground wire for the amp under the gas tank to the battery and there's only one way to do that. No plug and play there. Basically that is the hardest part of the set up. The rest is a piece of cake.
Any of the amps AAWAV recommended are more than capable of producing the power you need for your tunes.
The rear 6x9 are infinity so I will be looking for the fronts that you have recommended. I am not familiar with the Amps you have rocomended, who are they made by and where can I get them and the 62.11i? Thanks for the help!

Don't you mean the 52.11i? My bike is an 09 so the faring speakers are 5 1/4 or are you suggesting I go to a 6.5 and get an adapter? Will there be enough room?

Plenty room in there with a 6.5 adapter Rebel. . . Actually you can go to a 7.1 speaker. (Future upgrade) And yes that is what we are suggesting. Go to a 6.5 speaker with an adapter. The Infinity's we recommended are 6.5 speakers. As my friend HAZE suggested go to Sonic Electronix to purchase your speakers and amps. I have a couple sets of 6.5 adapters that are perfect for the infinity speakers. PM me if you need em.
Thanks for the adapters Gannicus. I ordered the 62.11i today. Might pull the trigger on the Rockford Fosgate PBR300X4 but still looking. Is this amp a D circuit?

noooo!!! Not the 300X4.
That amp is not 2ohm stable....4ohm only. The Infnities are 2ohm, also that amp only pushes 75w per channel I beleive. You're going to want (and the kappas are going to want) more than that. The Kappas can take a beating.
You may risk some loss of FM reception, but the above options are going to be your best best. RZ4 makes those speakers scream.
