Default Long day in the garage!

Finally got my speaker grills from V-twin. Had to wait for them to make some "deeper" ones for the Kappa tweeters to clear. Took some slight modification to each one. The grills were hitting the speaker mounting screws so I just clipped away a bit of the perf material where the screws were, also had to egg out the mounting holes slightly. They are a very tight fit but they are in! Look great too! Now I have about 1/4" of clearance between tweeter and grill.

Then I moved onto the next project... my brother's 2010 Ultra.

We installed a Kenwood KDC-BT858U head unit, Biketronics 4180 amp, BT 7.1 front speakers, and Alpine rear speakers. I don't know the model, whichever ones Biketronic sells. That set up sure is LOUD!!! I was expecting a bit more bass from those 7.1's but they are loud and clear! The Alpines in the tour pack have some good mids and an absolute TON of highs! Man those things are ear bleeding loud! We actually took some of the rear sound away with the fader because they were damn near drowning out the fronts! Install went well, instructions are easy to read and very clear. We grounded the amp to the triple tree as per BT instructions, but wondering if we should of went to the battery. It all works so will leave it for now.

OT... Also installed the FP3 in my bike. Bike runs much better versus the FL-Vied-10's. My mufflers are not listed so I chose the V+H slip ons for now, V+H customer support was closed, will do some auto tuning later.

Sounds like a good day.. I've never understood the emphasis people out on the alcohol one drinks when doing projects.. Certainly your not testing the bike out after said drinks. I drink every Saturday night, BBQ, and shoot pool but never when I'm doing work on the vehicles.. I want to be able to ride as soon as I'm don't not after I sober up
