Default ground\power issue

installed the latest set up and finally got to ride it but I am having a issue whith the power and ground wire going to the amp! my last amp required (10g wire?) cant remember but the issue is its too big for the new 4180bt amp the power wire came out yesterday..

here what I am thinking....

take the existing power wire that runs from battery to faring with inline fuse back at battery and solder smaller gauge end on it!! will this work? any for seen issues?

then make new ground and go to the neck with the smaller gauge wire....

What happened man? The power lead came out. Shoot me a pm if anything.

For the ground and power leads, I used connectors to hook up my 10g wires coming from the battery. I know some folks that used the 10g wires and trimmed enough off to get it to fit.

Or you could go back in with the 12 gauge that Biketronics uses for that amp.

Oops. Yes that's what I meant. I kept the 12g on the amp and used butt connectors to my already installed cables and shrink wrapped over them.
