So I have upgraded by stereo to the Sony MEX-M70BT with the aswc-1. I was planning on buying the BT7.1 and the 2180 amp to go with it but, money has come up short. Question now is do I put the stock speakers back in or do I spend the $40 and get something like the KFC-G1620? i have the adapters already.
go to "Best Buy " and spend the 50-60 bucks on a set of "kickers" (cs65) well worth the money and will blow away the stockers. Cheap route to go til you get amp and better speakers. IMHO.

Ohiomike is absolutely correct . Get the kickers. Only I recommend the KSC67's which are the newer model kickers upgraded from the C series. You could also spend $150 bucks on the Cerwin Vega B2 amp and have a nice sounding system very cheap.
Thanks for the input. Does the Cerwin-Vega B2 interfere with radio reception? I know there has been a lot of talk about how it no longer works with amps.

It's a crap shoot. Some do some do not. I suggested the $160 Cerwin Vega as a temporary solution for good sound until you are ready to purchase the 2180. You can always sell the B2 and get most of your money back when the time comes. If you can't find a buyer I'll buy it.
I think Gannicus is going to open a secondhand audio component store
Lol. . . I just have a lot of friends here and at home who need **** and I like to install everything I touch so I can give guys good info. If I tell you a system sucks or a system is a beast. it's because I've had it in my bike. Haze, AAWAV and Nutz all the same way. That said. My latest amp I installed last night was the Sound stream 1000D. It's a freakin beast fella's!! I also installed the PA 3000D basically the twin brother to the soundstream. Sound stream appeared to have more clarity and tad bit more powerful. Both amps are tight in the fairing but they both fit!
