Default troubleshooting speaker issue

Late last season I did the RF amp and Polk mmr651 speaker update on my 03 EGC. after a few days of riding I would lose sound. Possibly the amp shutting off? Then I lost the left speaker. I am troubleshooting my connections are fine and I placed the crossover and the wiring for the bad speaker to the good and all fine. So I'm looking at a bad speaker, correct?

That's what it sounds like. Since you didn't list a different HU I'm guessing you are still running the stock. If so does it cut out while you are listening to the radio, a CD, or an mp3 player plugged into the front jack? Or all of the above?

If you have a dmm you can also check if your polk reads 2 ohms like it should to be sure. But it does sound like you have already swapped wiring and found that the wiring to bad speaker does power on the good speaker meaning the amp is good.
