Good HU. Great amp. Suspect speakers. Now don't get me wrong the Polks sound AMAZING!! But their reliability is suspect and I'm not sure Polk has addressed the issues. Specifically the MM651 coaxial speakers. The MM6501 comps are good to go. There are many horror stories on the forum in regard to the coaxial speakers. The tweeter stalks eventually fail on the speakers and the speakers literally melt. You would be much better off with the infinity 62.11i speakers.

Yup...over another V twin forum Nutz provided the SN for the run of MM651's that were suspect. I'm going to install one set, see how I like it for the rest of the season. This was not a plan upgrade, the old HU went dead on me.
I may sell or just keep them on back up seeing as I got 4 for a really good price. And none of them have the SN's that Nutz spoke of.
I'm still playing with the idea of 6x9's in the lowers... though I need to look at what my choices would be given that Nutz provided --> "In addition, not just any 6x9 is going to fit in them. I know for sure the BT 6x9s and the Pioneer 6x9s will not fit. You'll likely have to chose a thin mount 6x9 such as the Rockford R169x2."
If it's not too late you might like the 3000D version of the PA amp a bit more
A very stripped down ultra, I thought about the 3000D but then I thought I might pop the Polks. As you know Polks are rated 2 ohms @ RMS 100 watts, the 2000D is 4x250 (or something between 100 & 250 ) all at 2 ohms. I should be ok... lol
