Okay my amp arrived Friday, I have my adapter rings and my speakers will be here this afternoon.
With the stock HK head unit does the ARC KS125.2 turn on when it senses signal at the speaker level inputs or do I need to trigger the amp with a wire from the stereo? If so Which wire off the HK will turn the amp on and off?

Run a remote wire from the orange/white wire on the headlight harness to power your amp.

Okay to make sure I understand, I tap into that wire and run that to the remote turn on lug on the amp?
I thought the ARC amp sensed speaker level inputs and turned on when using them and the remote lug becomes an output for additional component switching?

Maybe it's just me but I've never had any luck getting the auto sensing feature to work with the stock HU with the Arc amp. I'm not saying it doesn't. But I have not had any luck. I always thought it was because the feature needs a 4v signal to sense and as we all know the stocker is only about 2v. In regard to the remote lug becoming an output. That only happens when the auto sensing feature is engaged or active. I use the orange wire on the headlight for that amp.

Won't this only allow the amp to come on in the "run ignition position" - would a better option be the cigarette lighter or another constant 12V power source so it will come on in accessory mode?

The amp will power up in the ignition and accessory positions connected to the orange wire. The cigarette lighter is also a viable option.

Josh it's been long time since running that configuration but from what I can remember a Remote wire wasn't necessary when running Hi input. Make sure speaker level in switch is pushed in on amp.

Thank's Alan. Hoping to get it installed before we leave for south Padre Sunday.
