Hey guys,I could use your help. Last week I bought an aq-mp-5bt-h b/c after researching I found this radio would be a good replacement for my tunes with it just being plug and play.
Well I opened everything up and found a 23 pin plug that will plug into the new unit, but the old radio has another plug to the right of it with no where to plug it in on the new one. Mines a 2011 Electra glide ultra limited and jpcycles said that this will work in it... I know I'll be loosing the cb part of it, no big deal.
Any ideas? Thanx guys
I don't claim to be an expert here so maybe someone else can either confirm or correct this as necessary. I believe you only need to plug the 23 pin connector into the back of the new head unit. That will handle most everything coming out of the new unit except for your rear speakers. The other plug - 35 pin I believe - will not be used with the new unit. That plug is primarily for the "stock" cb & intercom features which you lose when installing an aftermarket head unit. The only thing you need from the 35 pin connector is to find and tap into the rear speaker wires if you want to continue to use your rear speakers. Otherwise the 35 pin connector is no longer used and may simply be tucked out of the way. Hope this helps.
