2012 STREETGLIDE, CERWIN VARGA B2 AMP. Batwing speakers & nothing else. What would be good speakers? Looking at the biketronics titan 2 & they also have the bt 7p1. ONE IS $224.00 OTHER IS $269.00. Looking for anyone who has either one.
Either one will do, both come with adapter rings. I'm running 7.1's and like them very much. Wish I could afford the 7.1 pro's, but I'm happy with the non pro's for the money. You can't go wrong either way.
I got the pros and I hear stuff I could Never hear before.
Also my Sony headunit can crank up the volume level near 50 if needed but in the 40's it will blow you off the bike distortion free and with a nice punch.
a bit misleading... your info, but you are looking at the 6.5 Titan II's and the regular BT71's (so NOT the Pro's).
For the slight price difference, go with the BT71's.
Call Bill at BT and tell him you are an HDForum member and he will get you a better price (no guarantee, but knowing Bill very well, he will help you out).
if planning on more speakers in the (near) future, go with SS PN4.1000D or PA RZ brother version of that amp (4.3000D) or BT4180 if you can justify/afford the price difference.
just do not use rear channels for now.
B2 is a good amp as well... never heard it or had it on my bench, but Haze and Gann both like the amp and I trust them "completely" (might even let them ride my bike LOL and THAT MEANS SOMETHING as ONLY Bro rides it besides me).
I have the BT 7.1 speakers (thanks Gannicus) with the Sony HU and the BT4180....37 on the dial is about all my ears can handle.....no distortion, and very clear even at 70+ MPH!

Thank you for all of your input. I already have the mm651 polk audio speakers on my bike.Would it be any big difference to switch to the biktronics speakers? Not the pro;s just the titan 2.The cerwin vega amp different than the fosgate pbr 300x2. Looking for the best sound i can get out of the batwing fairing.
The MM's are a pretty good speaker if you have a good set. If it were me, I'd get the amp first and see how you liked the combo. You can always change the speakers out later. How long have you been running the Polks?
