Would like to field some amplifier advice guys. Here's where I'm at on my 15 RGS, just pulled my Kappas and replaced with Arc Moto 602's up front, 692's in the lids run by the Soundstream pn4.1000. In the midst of that I threw a set of 4ohm 8" Kicker CompR's in the bags and tried to run them off a RF pbr 300x2 that I had lying around. Well the Arcs sound great, the pbr is barely moving the subs. I figured this might happen since they're rated for 400rms and I'm only feeding them 1/4 of that. Question is this, what would be a good efficient amp the move the Kickers? Is there another setup anyone might suggest? Open to ideas even involving or replacing the SS amp too. Thanks in advance!

How do the Arc Moto 692's sound in the lids? I've been thinking about getting a set. If they are anything like the 6.5's I'm all in!
No way is the PBR going to push subs rated at 400 RMS or any other amp for that matter. The most you are going to throw at those subs is the Biketronics BT4180 @ 180 watts RMS. But I don't think it will move those subs either. You would be better off with two sets of 6x9's in there my friend. If you are going to run a sub it needs to be something like the Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1000F same one American Hardbag uses in their set ups,
Actually have the pbr in the bag, the SS takes up a lot of real estate in the 15 fairing, plus want an easier time making adjustments with the subs too. So yeah, amp in the bag.
I've got one amp in the fairing and the HDP4 in a bag. Depending on what amp you choose you can mount to the latch screws.
I've compared the Hertz HDP4 (at 599.00) vs the Soundstream TN4.900 (199.00) and man it's a close call. The Hertz is louder, but the TN4 has a nice warm rich sound to it that pumps a ton of bass. You would murder those subs with that amp. It's not a small amp though.

Ended up ordering the SS PN1.650D for budget reasons. Found it on sale for $100 and figure 650 watts should move the subs much better than the RF.
Should arrive tomorrow and will post up results. Need to become a soundstream dealer, looks bad starting an audio shop and running 2 amps by a brand you dont carry!
