Default Remote wire help, no orange wire?

If i have over looked the orange wire on my headlight wire harness please forgive me lol. I am wondering if i will be able to use the blue power wire from what looks like an accessory plug on the left speaker pod (right side of looking from the front).

Also before i button everything up, the ground wire that was provided in the amp was short. I soldered the extra power wire to the ground. Should i just go get a ground so I don't have a soldered connection or will it be good to go?

Thank you, you guys have been very helpful.

These are the only wires I have found on the headlight wires, I could be missing something though.

I think the orange wire is only on the pre Rushmore. Gotta find some install pics and see where the newer bikes have been using a remote

BT site has install instructions posted under the support tab. Should be pointed out there.

You can tap into the Cig lighter red wire for your remote turn on. Also a solid ground wire is better. less resistance which could lead to static in the system.

Why did you cut off your head lamp connectors?

I have enough left over power cable to make a ground, I'll probably just do that.

Can i take a barrel connector and hook it up like the picture (be jealous of my art skills, haha)

I had a OEM hidden antena (POS) ! Anyway there is a power lead that it plugged into and thats what I used for the remote amp turn on.

This is on a 15RG.

Whew... I was hoping that wasn't an "accident". Yeah that barrel idea is how I did mine and it works fine. I used this though

I don't have a picture. But looking from the front it was located mid top left side I think it was a two pin connector, don't remember the color wires, sorry.

If you find a open connector just use a test light to check it when power is turned on and off. Remember you want power on only for the remote on for the amp.
