Just installed a new system.
Alpine 149BT
Focal 165 KRC
Jl audio 8.8's
2 JL audio hx 240s
Sounds a bazillion times better then my biketronics setup.
Only problem I am having is my Bluetooth won't stay connected. Initially it was only at slower speeds through 3rd gear. Now the issue is prevalent very often. Losing Bluetooth signal. Any one have any similar issues with this Alpine head unit?
Everything else works fine. FM HD radio works fine.
Just so I understand. You are running two JL 50 watt rms amps with the focals and the JL 8.8's and you are saying it sounds better than the Biketronics system?
I have two JL Audio HX280's. They put out 140 watts rms each. One runs my focal 6.5 KRC and one runs my JL Audio 8.8s.
It sounds a million times better then my biketronics setup. Much louder and much cleaner. Clarity is a huge difference.
By the way, I blew two sets of 7.1 pros. They don't hold a candle to KRC's. Not trying to bash, but I have bought and owned both, so just sharing my opinion.
I got a pair of brand new 7.1 pros and a matching biketronics Titan amp for sale.

Got it! You have those amps bridged! I would imagine that set up does sound pretty good with those JL amps bridged. I'm gonna have to check out those amps. I have been hearing good things about those amps and of course everybody knows how good the KRC's and the JL 8.8's sound.
