I got both my metra kits from Sonic electronics so maybe they were old stock? It was nice to deal with Sonic on the returns though! The way I understood it was BT was available yet for thumb controls? I would love to be corrected on this subject because my stereo sounded way better with 4 volt pre outs to the amp instead of line level converter & crappy flash deck!

You are correct no BT for thumb control and not even dash kit as of right now .Talked with them while back and sounded like they may have pre production peace's that could be had.

The Sony 310 does indeed have an internal tray, but it won't accept an iPhone 5, just the 4. If an iPod is smaller it would fit. I got one when I had the iPhone 4 and it worked great, but after I upgradeded to the 5 the tray became worthless to me. It's a good unit otherwise.

Hey guys,

I had the metro kit this spring and it did not work so I sent it back and put the 6.5 back in. Oh I have 2014 street glide and 4180 biketronics amp, 7.1 pros in fairing and hogtunes lids in back with kappas 693.9is in them. I have a Sony Mex-70bt I wanted to use with the metro kit. Just to many problems with the metra kit. It sounded great with the Sony in the fairing but a lot of problems. So I put the 6.5 hu back in and waited for biketronics to come out with there's. Well I called biketronics several times and finally they sent me a module for the bar controls and put it in a week ago and wow does this thing rock. It was all so easy compared to metra and a lot better product. Can't be happier. Glad I don't have to worry about flashes anymore.

Flying,

It was all BT stuff. The radio mounting kit was BT and is much better than the Metra kit. The bar controls module was also BT. Very easy to do compared to the Metra kit. All my bar controls work great. Very happy with Biketronics .

Hope that helps someone out.

I just called BT. Wow, $200 and then it's radio specific. Sony, Kenwood, etc. Certain models that have remote control capabilities.

Hi,

We are slowly rolling out these parts to make sure they work great before an official release. We have had a bunch out in customers hands for about 3 months and everything seems good so we will probably officially release them in the next couple of weeks. It is a multi-brand part that will work with Sony, Pioneer, Clarion, Dual, Kenwood, JVC, and Alpine radios.

The radio will need a wired remote control input, sometimes called a steering wheel remote input (SWC). Just like our part for the older bikes, and the Metra part.

Something new compared to our older bike part is the customer can choose between having automatic volume control or having a mute function, this is easily switched at any times using the handlebar controls.

Iowarc51 Can I pick your brain ?

1. Did you end up buying amp mounting brkt or with new setup can you still use Velcro and mount on top of Sony deck ? do you still use the spl35 or no longer needed

2. Can you put up with visibility of Sony screen, do thumb controls work in exact same matter as did with stock HD. Are you hooked up to navigation threw phone or any other source.

3.Any codes how is eitms dealt with, no screen like Metra?

Just had thought no more waiting for accept screen. Thanks in advance .
