Audio experts, hope you can help. I have a 2009 road glide I bought in March of this year, only had 1200 miles on it. Many things have been changed since then, now its time for the audio change. I have been looking and reading many threads but the more I read the more my mind spins.
Anyway, I prefer a easy installation along with sound quality. I have about $800 I can throw at this project at this time. I have come up with the following stuff, but don't know if it will all work together and if it does, will it sound good.
1, Aquativ AV radio - plug and play. However, will this wire right up to the amp? Sound quality?
2. CV B2 amp - Only going 2 speakers for now. If I add lid speakers I can add a amp later. Ive read that this amp is small and easy to mount, correct? OR, would I be better off getting the SS1000 amp? Could I run 2 speakers off of it for the time being?
3. Kappa 62.11 - quality speaker at a good price. Seems like a lot of guys like the biktronics speakers but they are a lot more money. Suggestions on speakers I know is very subjective, but would like to hear them.
The part of all of this that has me 2nd guessing everything is making everything working together. And not frying everything!
Thanks in advance.
Be safe
Different Head unit (I'll let others chime in)

Kappa 62.11
You will also need
Speaker adapters
HU install kit (Biketronics, Metra)
Steering wheel control module (biketronics, ASWC-1)

From a budget standpoint half of your budget is going into the HU and or components to support the HU. You have to decide which way you want to go. The Aquatic is plug and play and wouldn't require handle bar controls or a radio kit to install. Aside from the Jensen all the other aftermarket HU's are going to require an install kit. It's pretty much a wash. So yeah, IMO the aquatic would be a good place to start and not have to worry about an install kit for your handle bar controls.
Either way half of your budget is gone. That leaves the other half for a set of speakers and the other stuff Hades mentions in his post. You can easily purchase the SS PN4.1000D or the Cerwin Vega B52 and a set of infinity 62.11i speakers with the money left. Both strong amps and strong speakers. That said. The BT speakers are not as expensive right now as you think. Biketronics has a pretty good deal on the 7.1's right now with the forum discount. With the lifetime warranty it's a sweetheart deal!
For a two speaker system if it were me I'd go Biketronics 7.1's with either amp. SS if you want to expand in the future. B52 if you want to stay 2 speakers.
Thank you for your reply. I read a lot of post about the biktronics speakers. Is the big deal about them the lifetime warranty? Sound wise, what would you compare them too?
Thanks again

Well - One big deal is the outstanding customer service you receive from their company. another is their speakers have a lifetime warranty. If I had to compare them with another speaker out there I'd say the Hertz with more bass. The key is pairing them with a powerful amp like their BT4180 or the Soundstream PN4.1000D. Pair those speakers with either one of those amps and you'll be a happy camper.

Would the CV B2 amp be enough to push those BT speakers?
