Ya the 300x4 is not what you want I would say look into the ss pn4.1000d takes one of two things to get it into the Rushmore fairing...either $180 for the j and m amp mount or there's another member here that was able to get it into the stock amp tray with some fabrication
Here is a picture of the ss pn4 1000d on the stock amp tray of my 14 limited
On another topic I was going to go with the Rockford amp PBR300X4 but a couple Audio place I talked to says the have no cooling and get hot and shutdown. Does anyone have any input on this?
That amp sucks.
What's your budget for an amp? On a higher end you could get a BT 4180, Arc xDI 600.4 or the Fosgate T400X4AD

If you don't want to cut the OEM connector make a small adapter harness using male and female spades from OEM harness to speakers

The dealer did the install. I'm not sure what they did with the connectors. Sorry I can't be of more help.

I had to convert stock speaker connections to bare wire (tinned). As Babyboy suggested, you can do the same except put the connectors that match the new speakers on the bare end. This is how I did it while keeping the stock connectors under the shrink as shown.
Has any one tried the Kicker KS 6.5 component speakers? You can convert them to coaxial and they are good for 125 watts rms. They are twice as high as the regular coaxial speakers.
