Putting the PN4.100D into my bike in the next couple of weeks.
I needed to power speakers in my lids and tourpak as well as the ones in my fairing. The rear channel speakers (each 4 ohm), when both connected will be in parallel so that together, each right and left channel will be 2 ohm, separate, 4 ohm. My front speakers are 4 ohm as well, so the front channels will always run in 4 ohm.
I'm moving my current amp to another vehicle.
The PN4.1000D is a much bigger amp than what's currently in there. I think I'm gonna have modify the amp tray. Other than to stabilize the stereo, is there any real need for the amp tray? My head unit is custom made and doesn't need the upper support from the amp tray. And I have nothing in the CB area within the fairing. So plenty of space to lower a custom amp tray.... Do the speaker pods need stabilization from the amp tray?
